The Prophetic Imagination / Winter 2014

In the “Prophetic Imagination” issue of CONSPIRE we explore the creative implications of being made in God’s image. When we sing, dance, write, build, tell the stories, paint, or sculpt an image, we imagine what can be. We see reality in fresh, new ways. This creativity is a crucial element in defying the violence and injustice we find in our neighborhoods and world. The world needs a prophetic imagination that sees how things can be different. This issue features the work of Fred Bahnson, Makoto Fujimura, Walter Brueggemann, Naseem Rakha, John Blase, and many others.
